Conference on Article 13 Health Claims: In search of solutions

The European Health Claims Alliance is holding its first high-level conference on Article 13 Health Claims of the Nutrition and Health Claims Regulation, bringing together all stakeholders from the national authorities, the European Commission, European Parliament, consumers and industry. The conference entitled "In search of Solutions: A Stakeholder Dialogue on Article 13 Health Claims", will be the largest gathering so far to address Article 13. Speakers from the European institutions, governments, industry, consumers and leading academics will address a range of key issues such as:

• Where we stand with the EU's Claims Regulation

• Results of an independent economic impact assessment will be presented for the first time

• Consumer understanding of health claims

• The scientific evaluation of Article 13 claims and alternative approaches

• View on how to promote competition, innovation and R&D

• National authorities views on enforcement issues and solutions

This event is organised by the European Health Claims Alliance, an alliance of companies from across the food and nutrition industry.
